Ralph and I became very good friends soon after we started at South Shore in 1961. If my memory serves me correctly Ralph and I were serving as hall guards together in late January that year when the earth shaking news spread throughout the school that JFK was shot in Dallas. We remained good friends through high school and for a number of years after that until he moved up to Northfiled, Il.  Sadly I heard that he had died so very young of brain cancer in 1992 . He was a fun loving guy that will always be missed by many.

Ralph and I were best friends through most of high school and after. We didn't see each other for some periods of time but always stayed in contact over the years. We got back together regularly in 1990. We loved to play guitar together and go treasure hunting at the breaches. In 1992 he suffered a brain tumor while at work at Mc Cormick place. He had it removed but was never the same. Don Turner and I visited him in a nursing home near the end. So sad to see your dearest old friend go like that. I have missed him for 22 years. A truly good friend.
