Nick and I were pretty good friends the last year of high school. He played halfback for South Shore. I remember he was so exicited to get a scholarship to Ripon College to play football. He was off to college and I was off to the Army. We did not stay in touch and I wonder if anyone knows what happened to him. Bob Guthrie.
Nick was a good friend when we were in high school. He and Adrienne Epstein and Rich Andersen and I doubled a lot. Adi called to tell me Nick passed away in 2005. He did not go to Vietnam but went to school in Ripon, Wisconsin. Sadly, Adi passed away a few years ago as well, after two bouts of cancer. Working on the reunion has brought back wonderful memories, but the pain of losing so many of our friends is difficult.
